Did you know Savannah is known as a Necropolis? That's right- it's a city built on it's own dead. Sounds haunting, doesn't it? We thought so. And we decided to find out more on the Savannah Haunted Trolley tour!
Savannah definitely has a "different" feel at night- traveling under the old oak trees strung heavily with spanish moss, there was a heaviness to the air. We passed by the multitude of cemeteries that you can find virtually on every corner, and our trolley driver gave us tales of murders, suicides, and deathly duels.

After about an hour of mystery telling on the trolley, we stopped at the Pirate house for dinner. The best part of dinner was the tour of the basement run cellar (definitely not the food). There were so many stories to tell of pirates smuggling their loot and storing it, to the cellar being used as a makeshift hospital for victims of yellow fever and bodies being dumped into the river.

Sean and I definitely enjoyed ourselves on this tour. It was entertaining and fun. However, if we had a chance to book again, we would probably avoid the extra cost, and pick the ghost tour without the dinner. We went into the tour without any expectations and we certainly weren't disappointed.
Check out Savannah At Night- as long as it doesn't scare you!
