Maybe......."Just" maybe, I should have been born a fish. Or maybe I was a fish in a previous life? Either way, something about the water and watching animals swim makes my heart SO happy! And the Clearwater Aquarium filled my heart with happiness the day we visited! What an amazing facility- showcased by native ocean animals and birds, but highlighted by the rehabilitation capabilities as well.
Arriving at the aquarium was easy, as our Waze app took us right to the parking garage. We had bought tickets online the night before using a 10% discount promo code.
And as soon as we entered, the exhibits began. Perfect for little explorers who might be ready to get hands on by this point!

Next stop was straight for the dolphins. Luckily we ran into one of the instructors of the rehab facility and she was able to give us SO much information on the different types of disabilities they work with. As well as the different mechanisms of communication they use to interact with the dolphins.

Of course as we continued on, we loved seeing the sea turtles, and the itty bitty fish that reflect so many rainbow colors! The seahorses were just adorable, the way they "rock" as they swim. I still need to find my answer about how sharks sleep! Wouldn't they leave themselves too vulnerable if they just laid on the bottom with their eyes closed? I don't know???.......
Keep your eyes peeled around those pelicans- they'll end up sitting on your shoulder for a snapshot! And don't forget if you ever get a chance to travel down the Amazon, look for the pink dolphins!

There's always so much to learn and explore when you let your senses lead the way. The Clearwater Aquarium is a must-see if you've got some time to check it out. Then head into the beach area for some Boxer balls and a little sunshine! That's what you call a KLING CONNECTION KINDA DAY!
