USVI- ST. THOMAS

The U.S. Virgin Islands are a beautiful destination for world travelers for lots of reasons. Lush landscape, easy access to the ocean, and gorgeous sunsets are just a few. We visited St. Thomas recently and fell in love with the people, the culture, and the laid back island life-style you find in the USVI.
Upon arrival at the St. Thomas airport, the locals are helpful and accomodating. Tourism is a huge industry on the island. We secured our rental car in just a few minutes and off we went. Our WAZE app took us directly to our hotel at the Island View Guesthouse. What an amazing ride with 360 degree views! Don't forget- they drive on the left side of the road!
The Island View Guesthouse was One Of A Kind. I got a great deal on a room since we booked off-season, AND when we arrived, reception upgraded us to a suite. Our room was spacious with a sitting AND office area, TV, kitchenette, and rainshower bathroom. But the best part? THE VIEW! You can't beat this:
And just one additional detail about the Island View Guesthouse- The owner is Michael Bishop, a 5-star chef who has been cooking all over the world. His kitchen at the Guesthouse creates some of the most delicious food you'll ever try.
Sightseeing, shopping, and water activities are a must when you're on the island of St. Thomas....and we did all 3.
Cruising around the island, we landed at Hull Beach, a pristine, tucked away little bit of paradise among the locals. We soaked up the gorgeous sunshine and ate some authentic ceviche made by the islanders.
Snorkeling for sea turtles on St. Thomas was an incredible experience for me! I absolutely LOVE being in the water and I've snorkeled many many times before. The sea turtles off the coast here were magnificent to watch- swimming so effortlessly, popping their heads from the water to breathe. Come to St. Thomas and experience it for yourself!
